PsycCRITIQUES: Integrating Brain and Behavior in the Study of Risky Decisions

There are few topics in the behavioral sciences that have not been affected by recent developments in neuroscience. Noninvasive brain-imaging procedures, notably functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), make it possible to study neural correlates of most behavioral phenomena. By relating observations of behavior to brain-imaging data, investigators hope to achieve insight into behavior in a way that has hitherto been impossible.
